You keep forty tabs open because closing them feels like throwing something away.

TabVault gives you somewhere to put them. Save a window into a named group, close the tabs, and get the whole thing back with one click. The group is still there next week, after a restart, and after you have forgotten why you opened any of it.

Firefox has its own tab groups now, and they are useful, but they live inside a window. A TabVault group is a saved thing on your device, like a folder, and reopening it does not use it up.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Save the whole window in one click, or tick the few tabs you actually want. There is a keyboard shortcut and a right-click menu when you do not want to open anything.

Reopen everything, or just the two tabs you came back for, in this window or a new one.

Name a group, give it a colour and an icon, and write yourself a note about why you saved it. Six months later that note is the difference between a useful group and a mystery.

Search across every group name, note, tab title and URL at once. Favourite the groups you live in so they sit at the top.

Drag tabs between groups, drag groups into the order you want, and export the lot to a JSON file whenever you want a backup.

YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR MACHINE

TabVault has no account, no server, and no analytics. It makes no network requests at all. Not for updates, not for telemetry, not to check your licence. The only thing your browser fetches is the little site icons it already had.

That is not a promise about intentions. There is nothing in the extension that can talk to a network, and the source it is built from says so.

Snapshots are taken for everyone, including free users. If you buy later, your history is already there waiting.

After you pay you get a licence key by email. Open TabVault's options page, paste it into the Licence box, and the limit lifts. The key is checked by a signature inside your own browser, so it keeps working offline and on every browser you install TabVault on.

Cross-device sync is not built yet and is not part of this purchase. If it ever ships it will be a separate, optional thing, never a retroactive charge to someone who already bought.
