Streaming Speedup controls the playback speed of any HTML5 video or audio, on any website, from one small popup.

Many streaming, learning and social sites hide the speed option or limit it to a few steps. Streaming Speedup gives you the full range from 0.1× to 16× and applies it everywhere: movies and series, online courses and lectures, live streams and replays, podcasts, social feeds, and players embedded inside other pages.

HOW IT WORKS

Click the icon, drag the slider or tap a quick speed (1×, 1.25×, 1.5×, 1.75×, 2×, 2.5×, 3×).
The speed applies immediately to every tab, including players that load later in the page and players inside iframes.
Hold a quick-speed button to save the current speed to it.
A small overlay shows the current speed on the video, then fades. Drag it wherever you like, or turn it off.

Prevent sites resetting speed: some players snap back to 1× on their own; the guard option quietly re-applies your speed.

Keyboard shortcuts on the page: S slower, D faster, R reset, Z back 10 seconds, X forward 10 seconds, V toggle overlay. They pause while you are typing.
Browser commands Alt+Shift+S / D / R work even when the page is not focused, and can be changed in chrome://extensions/shortcuts.
Light, dark or system theme.
Export and import your settings as a file.

PRIVACY No analytics, no accounts. Your preferences sync through your browser account; nothing is sent to us. Website access is needed only so the extension can find the video and audio players on the page you are watching.
