この拡張機能について
SoundSilo is a free browser extension for editors, composers, and producers who license royalty-free music and sound effects — and need to know exactly where every track came from, who wrote it, and what the ISRC is when it's time to build a cue sheet.
WHAT IT DOES
When you download a track or sound effect from a supported music/SFX library, SoundSilo automatically:
- Files it into an organized folder — by project, then by site
- Logs it — date, time, file name, source site, and a link back to the track's own page — in a running CSV that lives right in the project folder
No more guessing which library a cue came from. No more digging through browser history to find a licensing link.
GOES FURTHER THAN JUST ORGANIZING: REAL CUE SHEET DATA
Some libraries — such as Universal Production Music — let you download every edit and version of a track as one zip, bundling a metadata file inside it with the track's title, composers (with % splits), publishers, and ISRC. Most tools just log that as one generic .zip file. SoundSilo reads the bundled metadata directly (entirely on your own computer — nothing is uploaded anywhere) and turns it into one row per track in your log, with composer credits, publisher splits, and ISRC already filled in.
BUILT FOR HOW COMPOSERS AND EDITORS ACTUALLY WORK
Per-project folders — set your active project once, and every download routes under it automatically, with its own CSV. Switch projects when you switch jobs.
Source-page intelligence — many library sites let you download from search results or a generic library page that doesn't identify the specific track. SoundSilo works out the real track page on supported sites, so your log links back to the actual track.
Works with the libraries you already use — 24 major royalty-free music and sound-effect libraries out of the box (Epidemic Sound, Universal Production Music, Artlist, Soundstripe, Storyblocks, Soundsnap, Zapsplat, Envato Elements, AudioJungle, Motion Array, Uppbeat, and more), and it grows with you: download from a new site, and SoundSilo asks once whether to track it, then remembers your answer.
Pause anytime — one toggle turns capture off completely for the moments you're downloading something that isn't a cue.
Completely private — everything stays on your machine. No accounts, no analytics, no data sent anywhere, ever.
CHROME VS. FIREFOX
On Chrome, SoundSilo files tracks into folders automatically and reads bundled zip metadata automatically. Firefox doesn't give extensions a way to redirect a download's save location, so on Firefox files land in your regular downloads location but are still fully logged; zip metadata expansion is available there too via a one-click manual picker (Firefox blocks extensions from reading local files without one). Same extension, same codebase — the difference is entirely about what each browser allows.
FREE, FOREVER
SoundSilo is free, with every feature included. If it saves you time on your next project, there's an optional tip jar in the extension — otherwise, enjoy.
