Turn any YouTube cooking video into a structured recipe in your recipe app with one click.

Open a YouTube video, click Generate Recipe, and the extension reads the transcript and description, sends it to an AI model of your choice, and exports a properly formatted recipe with title, ingredients, instructions, timings, yield, and notes.

Bring your own model

The extension works with any OpenAI-compatible API: OpenRouter, OpenAI, or a local model. You have to supply the API key.

What it does

• Extracts ingredients with exact measurements (metric and imperial when both are mentioned)
• Groups steps logically
• Includes prep time, cook time, yield, and notes from the video

Supported Formats

Currently only Mela's format is supported.
