Noter helps you keep notes directly where you read.

Use inline notes to attach a note to highlighted text on any page, then come back later and reopen the note from the saved highlight. Use page notes to keep general notes, reminders, or summaries for the current URL.

Everything is stored locally in the browser. noter does not use remote servers, analytics, or cloud sync.

What noter can do

• export all notes to JSON or Markdown
• import a JSON backup through a Firefox-safe restore flow

noter is useful for reading notes, research snippets, quick reminders, documentation annotations, and lightweight page-specific scratchpads.

Privacy and storage

All note data is stored with the browser's storage.local API on the user's device. Export and import happen locally. noter does not send note content to a remote service.
