MemoryCrow Browser Extension — Privacy

The extension captures web content only when you explicitly act: clicking "Save this page", using the right-click "Save to MemoryCrow" menu, or selecting text in the clipper. It uses the activeTab permission, so it can read the current tab only at the moment you invoke it. There is no background reading, no auto-sync, and no tracking of the pages you visit.

Data the extension handles:
• Authentication info — the API key you paste is stored locally in the browser's extension storage and sent as a bearer token to authenticate your requests. It is not shared with anyone else. Revoke a key from the dashboard to disconnect a device instantly.
• Website content — when you capture, the page's main readable content (or your selection), its title and URL, and any context tags/visibility/groups you choose are sent to the MemoryCrow API (https://api.memorycrow.com) to save to your account.

The extension does not collect browsing history, keystrokes, mouse activity, form inputs, or any page you did not explicitly save. It requests no broad host access and communicates only with the MemoryCrow API. We do not sell or transfer your data, and we do not use it to train foundation models.
