Memfolio の個人情報保護方針
Privacy policy
Applies to the Memfolio browser extension. In force since 2026-10-08.
In short
Memfolio saves photos and videos from the profile pages you open on instagram.com into folders on your own computer. It collects no personal data, sends nothing to us or to anyone else, has no server of its own, and contains no analytics, error reporting or advertising.
What is stored on your computer
The extension keeps the following in the browser's extension storage, on your device only:
- Your settings: interface language, time format, where single downloads go, the name of the subfolder, and the state of a few switches.
- The account list: for each account you download, its username, its numeric id on the platform, the time of the last run, the file count seen then, and the groups and order you arranged.
- In Chrome and Edge: a reference to the folder you chose for each account (a File System Access handle). In Firefox: the folder's path inside the browser's download folder.
The downloaded files themselves are written to the folders you chose and are not read back for any purpose other than telling which files are already there.
What is sent over the network
The extension talks to instagram.com only, from the page you have open and with the session you are already logged in with, to list the posts of that profile and to fetch the media files. These are the same requests the site makes when you scroll and open posts. No request goes to any other host, and nothing about you, your account or your downloads is transmitted to us.
The extension loads no remote code and contains no third-party libraries that phone home.
Permissions
- storage: the settings and the account list described above.
- Access to www.instagram.com: the extension runs on that site only, to add its buttons to profile and post pages and to read the media information those pages already loaded.
- Firefox only, downloads: to write files into the browser's download folder, since Firefox gives extensions no other access to folders.
Use of data from the site
The extension reads information from instagram.com for one purpose: saving the media of the profile you are viewing into your folders and skipping files you already have. It does not use that information for anything else, does not build profiles, does not sell, share or transfer it, and does not use it for advertising or credit purposes. Which media you can see is decided by the site and your account; the extension does not bypass logins, privacy settings or paywalls.
Deleting your data
Remove an account from the list to delete its entry. Removing the extension deletes all of its stored settings and the account list. The downloaded files stay in your folders until you delete them yourself.
