Margin Weather is a local probability workspace for plans whose task durations are not known exactly. Instead of asking for one optimistic date and presenting it as certainty, the extension records a best case, likely case, and difficult case for every task. It then runs 2,400 seeded simulations, respects task dependencies, and shows an empirical completion distribution.

The forecast reports the median, P80, P90, and P95 completion horizons, the probability of finishing before the chosen deadline, and the task contributing most strongly to the schedule tail. A release-front sample is included so the model can be understood before entering a real plan. Tasks can be added, edited, linked to a predecessor, removed, and re-simulated at any time.

Margin Weather is intentionally a decision aid rather than a promise. It does not connect to calendars, project systems, or external services. All task data and the last forecast are stored in the extension's local browser storage area and remain on the device.
