"Lightweight YouTube" helps you run the mobile version of the YouTube website, which is designed to run on lower end hardware and as such should offer a much more smoother navigation and playback experience. This way you can enjoy a lighter and faster YouTube experience on any computer!

Side note: If your computer does not support VP9 or AV1 video decoding, know that you can use an extension such as "h264ify" in conjunction with "Lightweight YouTube" for an even smoother playback experience!
