KeyForge for Firefox connects the browser to the KeyForge desktop password manager through a local Native Messaging host.

Features include:

-Autofill for username/email and password fields
-Manual entry selection from the KeyForge browser popup
-Save-from-login and update of existing credentials
-Origin checks before credentials are released
-No automatic form submission
-No credential storage inside the browser extension

KeyForge must be installed and running on Windows, and the vault must be unlocked for autofill to work.

The extension communicates only with the local KeyForge desktop application. Passwords and vault contents are not stored in Firefox.

Current limitations:

-Firefox only
-Classic username/email/password forms
-No passkeys
-No TOTP autofill
-No automatic login submission
