IDM Pro connects your browser to the IDM Pro desktop download manager.

When you start a download, the extension takes it over and hands it to IDM Pro. IDM Pro splits the file into as many as 32 parallel connections, so large files download much faster than with the browser's own downloader.

FEATURES
• Automatic capture: downloads you start in the browser go straight to IDM Pro.
• Protected links keep working: the extension passes along the cookies, referrer and user agent that went with the download, so links that need you to be signed in still download.
• Real pause and resume: you can pause, close the browser or restart your PC, and the download picks up from the exact byte it stopped at.
• Right-click menu: send any link to IDM Pro from the context menu.
• In-page media button: a small button appears over videos on web pages so you can send the media to your download queue.
• On/off switch: use the toolbar popup to turn capture on or off at any time.

REQUIREMENTS
This extension needs the IDM Pro desktop app for Windows. It does not download files by itself. The installer registers the connection between the app and your browser. If the app is not running, the extension starts it.

PRIVACY
The extension talks only to the IDM Pro app on your own computer, through Firefox native messaging. It sends nothing to any remote server. It collects no browsing history, analytics or personal data. Cookies are read only for the file you are downloading, and only so that file downloads correctly.
