HintTree is a keyboard-first visual bookmark launcher for Firefox.

Instead of navigating bookmark menus with the mouse, HintTree displays your complete bookmark hierarchy as an adaptive multi-column tree and assigns short keyboard hints to every bookmark.

Adaptive columns and sizing for large bookmark collections
Search across bookmark titles, URLs, and folders
Favicons cached locally for fast subsequent launches
Isolated launcher interface that avoids conflicts with website CSS and keyboard extensions such as SurfingKeys
Built-in help with ?

AA, AS, etc. — open in a new active tab
Shift + hint — open in the current tab
Ctrl + hint — open in a background tab

Esc — close or leave search/help

HintTree has no analytics, ads, telemetry, or developer-operated backend.

Bookmark data and search input are processed locally. To retrieve favicons, HintTree may contact the corresponding bookmarked website directly. Favicons are cached locally, and no third-party favicon service is used.
