Header Modifier is a browser extension published by Netavi Systems Inc. ("we") under the TechyTools brand. This policy covers the extension on Firefox, Chrome, Edge and other Chromium browsers.


Nothing. The extension has no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no ads and no tracking of any kind. We do not see your browsing, your headers or your settings.


Your profiles, header names and values, filters, URL rules and settings are saved in your browser's extension storage (storage.local). They never leave your device unless you export a backup file yourself. Uninstalling the extension deletes them.


The extension uses the browser's declarativeNetRequest API. It gives the browser a list of rules (header changes, blocks and redirects), and the browser applies them. The extension itself does not read the content of web pages, requests or responses.


In Chrome and Edge, the Activity tab and the toolbar badge show how many times your rules matched on the current tab. The browser keeps these counts and shares them with the extension only for the tab you open the popup on. They are shown to you and never stored or sent anywhere. The Firefox version doesn't have this feature.


The browser only lets the extension change headers on sites you allow. You choose those sites, and you can remove access at any time from the extension's settings or from the browser's add-on settings.


If you buy Pro, the payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, under its own privacy policy. When you activate a license in the extension, the extension sends the license key you entered to Lemon Squeezy's license server to confirm it is valid, and re-checks it about once a week. Only the key and an activation id are sent. No browsing data, headers or settings are ever sent. The extension stores the key, the activation id and its status locally.


We will not sell or transfer this extension or its users to another owner.


If this policy changes, we will update the date above and describe the change in the extension's release notes.
