Glass Tab replaces Firefox’s new tab page with a clean, frosted-glass dashboard that you can customize.

Features

Your wallpaper: set your own background and pick a theme.
Widgets: weather, currency rates, a connection and latency check, Steam deals, GitHub activity, and news feeds (Hacker News, DEV, DOU, Lobsters, GitHub Blog, The Verge).
Command palette: a quick fuzzy search for your shortcuts, bookmarks and actions, plus search suggestions.
Workspaces: keep separate sets of widgets and links for work, study or play.
Media controls: control playback on YouTube, YouTube Music, Spotify and SoundCloud from your new tab.
Multilingual interface: English, Ukrainian and Russian.

Privacy

Your settings and data are stored locally in the browser.
There are no accounts, no analytics and no tracking.
Network requests are made only to the services behind the widgets and features you use:
search suggestions go to your chosen search engine;
the weather widget sends the city you enter to Open-Meteo, to get its forecast.
The optional GitHub token, if you add one, is sent only to GitHub.

Permissions

storage: saves your settings.
Host access to the listed API and feed domains: needed for the widgets.
Optional bookmarks and optional access to all sites: requested only if you enable the features that need them.
Content script on YouTube, YouTube Music, Spotify and SoundCloud: used only for the media controls.
