标签页多到令人抓狂？浏览器越来越慢？FadingTAB 让不常看的页面自动"消失"——无打扰、可恢复、完全可控。

工作原理

当浏览器无操作超过设定时间（默认30秒），FadingTAB 自动检查当前窗口的标签数量：

• 超出"活跃标签数"的低活跃标签 → 卸载（释放内存，标签仍在，点击即恢复）
• 超出"最大标签数"的最低活跃标签 → 存入书签后关闭（随时从书签恢复）

排序依据为 Firefox 原生的"最后访问时间"，最久没看的标签最先被处理。

核心特性

• 无感运行：不弹窗、不打断，唯一感知是"标签好像没那么多过"
• 安全归档：所有关闭的标签先存入其他书签"FadingTAB归档"文件夹，按日期分组
• 白名单保护：通配符或正则匹配，关键页面永不被关闭或卸载
• 智能保护：活跃标签、固定标签、正在播放音频/视频的标签自动豁免
• 完全可配置：阈值、等待时间、保护条件、书签前缀均可自定义

隐私

FadingTAB 不收集任何数据。所有设置和记录仅存储在您的浏览器本地。

Too many tabs slowing you down? FadingTAB makes rarely-viewed pages "disappear" automatically — no interruptions, fully recoverable, completely under your control.

How it works

After your browser has been idle for a set time (default 30s), FadingTAB checks tab counts in current window:

• Tabs beyond "Active Tabs" threshold → unloaded (memory freed, tab stays, click to restore)
• Tabs beyond "Max Tabs" threshold → bookmarked then closed (recoverable from bookmarks anytime)

Tabs are sorted by Firefox's native "last accessed" time — the longest-unviewed tabs are handled first.

Key features

• Silent operation: no popups, no interruptions
• Safe archiving: closed tabs are saved to a "FadingTAB Archive" bookmark folder, organized by date
• Whitelist protection: wildcard or regex patterns to protect important pages
• Smart protection: active, pinned, and audio/video-playing tabs are automatically exempt
• Fully configurable: thresholds, wait time, protection rules, bookmark prefix

Privacy

FadingTAB collects no data. All settings and logs are stored locally in your browser.
