You sign in with a code on ddownload.com; the resulting account key is kept locally in this browser and is revoked on the server when you sign out. Page content is scanned locally for ddownload links only; the only data that leaves your browser are the detected ddownload file codes, which are sent to ddownload.com to look up name, size and availability, and the actions you trigger (import, download) on your own account. The extension contains no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and shares no data with third parties. Settings and the download queue are stored locally in the browser.
