WHAT IT CHECKS

Cookies — what's stored, who set it, and what each cookie is typically used for.
Third-party trackers — which external companies the page contacts, grouped by the organisation behind them (advertising, analytics, session-recording, and more).
Consent behaviour — whether a consent management platform is present, and whether tracking appears to fire before consent is recorded.
Other signals — session-recording tools, device-fingerprinting scripts, and insecure or third-party form submissions.

HOW THE VERDICT WORKS

Every check feeds a transparent 0–100 score and a Green / Amber / Red light. The scoring is deterministic — the same page evidence always produces the same result — and every deduction is shown with the evidence behind it. Verdicts are always conveyed with an icon, a label, and text, never colour alone.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

All analysis happens locally in your browser. Compliance Lens works fully offline after install and, by default, sends nothing anywhere. There are exactly two things that can ever leave your browser, and both are entirely up to you: submitting the "Request a full audit" contact form, and turning on optional anonymous usage analytics (off by
default). No advertising SDKs, no telemetry, no remote code — a privacy tool should be the best-behaved item in its own report.
