CleanTube gives you more control over YouTube by letting you choose which distracting content and interface elements you want to hide, disable, or block.

YouTube contains many different types of content that can interrupt your focus. Instead of changing YouTube completely, CleanTube gives you separate controls for different parts of the experience, allowing you to decide exactly what you want to remove.


CleanTube lets you hide distracting feed and discovery elements, including the Home feed, recommended videos, Mixes, Explore, Trending, More From YouTube, Subscriptions, and filter chips. These controls help reduce the amount of content YouTube presents when you are browsing.


Create your own list of YouTube channels that you do not want to watch.

When a channel is blocked, CleanTube prevents videos that actually belong to that channel from being opened or played. Direct visits to blocked channels can also be prevented.

CleanTube distinguishes the actual channel from unrelated videos that mention it. A video is not blocked simply because a blocked channel's name appears in its title or description.


CleanTube can hide YouTube Shorts from feeds, search results, shelves, video cards, and other places where they appear.

You can also prevent Shorts from being opened. If you directly open a Shorts URL, CleanTube stops the Short from continuing and takes you back to the YouTube Home page.

This allows Shorts to be both hidden from the interface and prevented from being watched.


CleanTube gives you control over distractions that appear while watching videos. You can hide comments, live chat, playlists, end-screen recommendations, and end-screen cards.

You can also disable autoplay and video annotations.

End-screen controls are independent. You can hide the end-screen feed, hide end-screen cards, or enable both.


Choose which information surrounding a video should remain visible. CleanTube can hide the video description, channel information, profile photos, action buttons, and other video-related elements.

These controls work independently, so you can simplify the video page without removing every piece of information around the video.

CleanTube lets you remove these promotional elements without requiring you to hide unrelated parts of YouTube.
