Clean Social is a privacy-first browser utility that helps reduce compulsive social media surfaces while keeping useful pages available. It can replace high-distraction surfaces such as YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and broad Reddit feeds with a local Clean Social block panel. Normal videos, direct posts, and useful threads remain available.

The extension evaluates only coarse navigation signals needed for blocking decisions. It does not send DOM text, page titles, full URLs, cookies, messages, usernames, browsing history, screenshots, or social account credentials to Clean Social. Social blocking is on by default, and the explicit content shield is opt-in and domain-level only.
