chrpr is a draggable on-screen companion that lives on every page. Pick one of 7 built-in avatars or drop in your own GIF — any size. Name it, theme it, drag it anywhere.

Click it and type to search. Every action chrpr knows is in a searchable command palette: media controls (speed, loop sections, save frames, timestamped links), page tools (clean tracking from URLs, dim the page, unstick floating headers, re-enable blocked copying), tab actions (pin, mute, bookmark, reader view, screenshot, zoom), selection tools (quote with source, translate, read aloud, highlight every match), and timers.

Personality packs make it talk. 8 built-in voices — Tsundere, Dave Ramsey, Pokémon Trainer, Meme Brain, Rude, CLI, Christian Verses, and a blank example template. Or write your own: a plain .txt file, one line per comment. Packs support [trigger:action] sections so chrpr reacts in-character to every action you take — copying, bookmarking, changing video speed, setting a timer.

Site-aware tools activate automatically: YouTube (timestamped links, thumbnails, transcript), GitHub (clone commands, web editor), Reddit (old layout, sort by top), Wikipedia (citations, Simple English), Amazon (ASIN, price history), Stack Overflow (copy accepted answer code).

Keyboard-first. Alt+Shift+S opens the palette. Alt+Shift+C copies a clean link. Alt+Shift+R toggles reader view. All reassignable.

Everything stays local. Zero network requests. Your GIF is stored in IndexedDB on your machine. Export/import all settings, avatar, and personality pack as a single JSON backup.
