Choir Below is an offline acoustic stealth and survival game built for Firefox. The chamber begins almost completely dark. Emit synthesized tones to reveal walls, objectives, and living contacts through expanding visual sonar. The same signal that gives you a map also tells the creatures where to hunt.

Three signal bands create different tactical risks. Low tones travel far and strongly attract heavy Brutes. Mid tones provide a balanced survey. High tones reveal fine local detail but are especially attractive to Mimics, which can repeat learned signals from elsewhere in the chamber. Listeners triangulate medium-frequency activity, creatures retain a short memory of recent pitches, and all species transition between dormant, listening, tracking, and hunting behavior.

Walking is quiet, sprinting emits footstep pulses, and remaining still restores breath. Recorded decoys replay the player's last signal three times, allowing a route to be redirected at the cost of a limited resource. Recover three resonant bells, withstand the noise each bell creates, and locate the lift. Success unlocks deeper procedural chambers with more contacts. A silent visual mode provides the complete game without audible output.

All sound is synthesized locally with the Web Audio API after an explicit player interaction. The game never uses or requests microphone access. Progress is stored locally in the add-on origin. Choir Below contains no analytics, advertising, remote code, external media, or network requests.
