CheckMK Alerter brings real-time monitoring of your CheckMK alerts directly into your browser, with sound and desktop notifications.

SETUP

1. Click the extension icon, then "Settings"
2. Enter your CheckMK URL (example: https://checkmk.example.com/monitoring)
3. Enter your automation user credentials
4. Save — alerts will start appearing immediately

To create an automation user in CheckMK: Setup > Users > Add user > Role: Administrator > Generate automation secret.

PRIVACY

• No tracking, no analytics, no telemetry
• No external servers contacted (only your own CheckMK instance)
• All credentials stored locally in your browser
• All API calls go directly from your browser to your CheckMK server

ENTERPRISE DEPLOYMENT

CheckMK Alerter supports managed configuration via browser policies, allowing system administrators to pre-configure CheckMK URL, user, and secret for all users in their organization. Supported via Firefox policies.json and Chrome/Edge registry policies.
