BetterKeka helps prevent accidental weekly timesheet submissions and makes your daily Keka workflow smarter and more efficient.

In many teams, users mistakenly submit their weekly timesheets too early — locking entries and requiring admin intervention to fix. BetterKeka solves that with
multiple layers of protection, and goes further with a real-time work progress dashboard, leave visibility, smart save validation, and more.

Timesheet Protection
- 5-layer submit lock — hides the Submit Weekly button completely on non-allowed days (CSS, JS, click blocking, and API interception)
- Single confirmation step on allowed days so you never submit by accident
- Configurable unlock day (default: Friday)
- Visible banner when the extension is disabled so you know you are unprotected

Work Progress & Goals
- Real-time weekly and daily effective hours tracked in the popup
- Leave By Time — shows exactly when you can leave (e.g. "Leave by 6:30 PM") based on clock-in time and a 9-hour daily target
- Custom weekly goal with automatic Monday reset — a one-off adjustment never carries into the next week
- Leave-aware goal — reduces your weekly target by 9h per approved leave day automatically
- Live clock ticker — today's worked hours update in real time while clocked in

Leave Visibility
- Upcoming approved leaves shown at a glance in the popup with Full Day, First Half, and Second Half labels

Reminders & Warnings
- Configurable clock-out reminders delivered as browser notifications or an in-page modal
- Gated clock-out — a 2-step confirmation guards against accidental clock-outs
- Exit warning when leaving Keka without clocking out

Timesheet UX
- Today column highlight — animated border marks today's column on the timesheet grid
- Smart save validation — warns before saving if hours exceed 8h or are logged in the wrong day
- Task date picker shortcut — "Set to today" fills both dates instantly
- Enhanced comment dialog — larger by default and freely resizable

- Persistent "Assigned to" filter remembered across navigation
