Live in harmony with ads.

AdSidebar is an alternative to traditional ad blocker extensions. Ads are displayed in a controllable sidebar on the right hand side of the screen.

INSTALLATION
============
NOTE: all ad blocking extensions must be uninstalled _before_ installing AdSidebar.

FEATURES
========
- Gives the user more control of how and when ads are displayed.
- Benefits both the user and content creators.
- Ads are displayed in one location. This makes the website easier to read and helps the user distinguish between actual content and deceptive ads that disguise themselves as content.

OPEN SOURCE

- Open source (GPLv3)

- Uses the "Adblock Plus" engine to detect ads.

Limitations
=========
- Adblock detecting websites (e.g. forbes.com) will still think an adblock extension is running and trigger a warning message. For now, please disable AdSidebar for these websites (menu option "Disable on xxxxx").
- AdSidebar is disabled by default on youtube.com due to some display issues.
