I've used 10ten (and rikaichamp/rikaisama/rikaichan before it) for years and the current iteration is by far the best its ever been. love the addition of pitch accent markings, honestly if that was the only feature it'd still be super useful but that ontop of everything else makes it indispensable

pubblicato il 3 anni faUpdate: This should be fixed now in 1.4.3, at least until Google Docs changes again.
Thank you very much!
I'm sorry about the trouble with Google Docs. Google have been gradually switching to a new "canvas" mode where the text in Google Docs is not available to extensions to read.
I hope to add a feature to 10ten to force Google Docs to use the old mode. Hopefully that will be added in a week or two.
Until then, sometimes if you load the same document in a new tab, you will get the old mode and then 10ten will work again.

edit: wow, thanks for the configurable icon and other additions. you're the best!Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 3 anni faHi! Thank you for your feedback! That's a good idea about making the logo configurable. I filed an issue for it at: https://github.com/birchill/10ten-ja-reader/issues/689
Also, thank you for the advice about fixing the add-on after the update. I'm really really sorry for the trouble you had.
UPDATE: As of version 1.2.0 the logo is now configurable so you can set a kanji icon if you prefer. - Valutata 5 su 5di tabibito, 3 anni fa

This extension is a must have for learners as it doesn't interrupt your reading experience and saves a lot of time form having to look up the definition yourself. Its like that friend who you can ask whenever you forget a word or don't know something.

We should use that last line as our tagline 😉 - Valutata 5 su 5di haystreet, 3 anni faCould at least give a heads up if it's going to download a 400 MB dictionary file in the background. Doubled my FF portable size. Kept deleting cache thinking I had a virus or something.

pubblicato il 3 anni faThank you! That's very generous of you to give a 5 star review despite your concerns about the download size.
The download size is only about 14Mb but once that gets decompressed and stored in IndexedDB it swells to over 300Mb on disk. It seems like the IndexedDB indices are particularly large and at some point I hope to find a way to reduce them somewhat.
The up-side is that by storing the data in IndexedDB Rikaichamp uses much less memory when it is running and can be kept up-to-date by just downloading the changed records each week which is normally only a few kilobytes.
Sorry about the alarm it caused you though! - Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 13515138, 3 anni fa
