Snipset replaces a short keyword with a saved snippet when you type it in a text field. Snippets can use variables, open from a keyboard shortcut menu, and be imported from or exported to the Snipset desktop JSON format.

The extension keeps a history of what you copy on web pages, shows usage statistics, and has an AI Chat panel in the sidebar. Snippets, clipboard items and settings are stored in your browser.

You sign in with Google on the Snipset website before the extension works. The extension sends a sign-in token to Snipset servers to check your account, and Firefox lists this in the install prompt. AI Chat messages are sent to Cloudflare Workers AI through a Snipset server only after you allow it, and you can turn that off in the add-on's Permissions tab in Firefox. AI Chat has a daily message limit, higher for licensed accounts.

Fejlesztői megjegyzések

Snipset needs a Google sign-in on the Snipset website before it works; a free account is enough. It runs on Firefox for desktop 140 and newer, not on Firefox for Android.

AI Chat replies with Anthropic's Claude up to a daily limit, then with the free model (Cloudflare Workers AI). Snippets, clipboard history and settings stay in your browser.
