Reader Noter turns a web article into a file you own.

Open the reader on any article and it is extracted with Mozilla's Readability — text, headings and images, nothing else. Select a passage to highlight it in one of four colours, and attach a note to any highlight. When you are done, export.

What you get is a single .org file: the article as Org text, followed by your highlights grouped under the section of the article each one came from, each note sitting under its highlight. Titles, author, source URL and publication date are preserved as file properties, so the file stands on its own.

On the desktop, an optional companion program can write the file straight into your notes folder. The permission for it is requested only if you press the button in the options page, and never otherwise.

On Android, the article is saved through the browser's normal download manager. There is no companion program and none is asked for.

It collects nothing. No telemetry, no analytics, no accounts, no remote servers. The only thing that ever leaves your browser is the article you chose to export, to your own computer.

The reader's interface is in Portuguese. The exported file is plain Org and language-neutral, just a few properties in portuguese for the V1.
