Hand browser downloads over to the Fetchster macOS menu-bar app.

How it works

Downloads started in the browser are handed to the Fetchster app on your Mac over native messaging — no save dialogs, no duplicate downloads.
Right-click any link → Download with Fetchster (works for magnet: and .torrent links).
If the Fetchster app isn't running, the browser downloads normally.

It does not inject scripts into pages or read page content.
It does not request access to cookies, history, or browsing activity.
It only sends the download URL and the browser's User-Agent to the Fetchster app running on your own machine.

Permissions

nativeMessaging — talk to the Fetchster app
downloads — hand off and cancel browser downloads
contextMenus — the "Download with Fetchster" right-click menu
storage — remember the capture toggle
notifications — confirm a download was added

No data leaves your computer. All processing happens locally between the extension and the Fetchster app on your Mac.
