DyneBridge password manager bridge — connects your Android app via local WiFi
Kiegészítő metaadatai
A kiegészítő névjegye
DyneBridge connects the DyneBridge Android password-manager app to your browser over your own local Wi-Fi network, so you can fill your saved login credentials — a username or email address, and a password — into a website without typing them or copy-pasting from your phone.
HOW IT WORKS
Open the extension on the site you want to log into. It shows a QR code — scan it with the DyneBridge Android app on the same Wi-Fi network, and your credentials are filled into the login form automatically.
WHY IT'S DIFFERENT
- End-to-end encrypted: credentials are encrypted on your phone (ECDH P-256 key exchange + AES-256-GCM) and only ever decrypted inside the extension. No component in between — including the local relay — can read them.
- LAN-only, no cloud: everything happens on your own Wi-Fi network. Nothing is sent to DyneBridge, to any developer-run server, or to any third party over the internet.
- No accounts, no telemetry: there's nothing to sign up for and no analytics, tracking, or usage data collection of any kind.
- Local and auditable: the relay that shuttles encrypted messages between your phone and browser is a small, open, crypto-blind router — it forwards ciphertext and nothing else.
WHO IT'S FOR
Anyone using the DyneBridge Android app who wants to move credentials into their desktop browser quickly, without cloud sync and without typing passwords by hand.
REQUIREMENTS
- The DyneBridge Android app, on the same Wi-Fi network as your computer
- The DyneBridge local relay program running on your computer (a small companion program — see the extension's setup instructions)
Note for reviewers: full functionality requires pairing with the companion DyneBridge Android app over a local network, plus the local relay program running on the same machine as the browser. The extension cannot demonstrate the complete fill flow in isolation without that companion app and relay present.
