YouTube Pause All, Focus Timer & Blocker combines video controls, distraction filters, and a timed YouTube blocker in one Firefox extension. Pause videos across multiple tabs, hide tempting recommendations, or block YouTube during a study or work session.

Choose a focus session of 1, 15, 25, 45, or 60 minutes. Starting the timer immediately stops playback and redirects open YouTube tabs to a plain warning page with a live countdown.

Opening another YouTube video during your session leads to the countdown too. Watch pages, Shorts, livestreams, YouTube Music, and youtu.be links stay blocked until your time is up.

The countdown keeps running when you close the extension popup or warning page. With a permanently installed extension, your session also retains its original deadline after Firefox restarts. Time spent with the browser closed or your computer asleep counts toward the session.

There is no early-stop button. Resume and the playback shortcut cannot override an active focus session. When the countdown finishes, YouTube becomes available again and the warning page enables Return to YouTube. Previously blocked tabs stay quiet until you choose to return.

Outside a focus session, manage your YouTube tabs with these controls:

• Pause all YouTube videos: Stop playing videos across your open YouTube tabs with one click.
• Resume selected playback: Resume only videos previously paused by the extension.
• Mute all and restore sound: Silence videos, then restore only the sound the extension muted. Videos that were already muted stay muted.
• Control playback speed: Change speed across open YouTube tabs and optionally apply your chosen speed to newly loaded videos.
• Hide YouTube distractions: Independently hide Shorts, side recommendations, comments, livestream chat, and the home feed.
• Enable all distraction filters: Turn the complete set of filters on or off from the popup.

Keep distraction filters enabled when watching tutorials or educational videos, then use the focus timer when you need time away from YouTube.

The extension contains no advertising, analytics, tracking scripts, or remote code. Preferences use Firefox storage and Firefox Sync, while the focus timer is saved locally. No personal information is sent to the developer.

Requires Firefox 140 or newer and permission to access the supported YouTube sites. To use the blocker in private windows, allow the extension to run in private browsing.
