VaultBubble collects the following data when you use the extension:

• Website Content: Text from web pages you choose to capture, including selected text, full page content, URLs, and page titles
• User-Entered Data: Notes, headers, and tags you add when capturing content
• Web History: URLs and page titles of pages you capture (only when you explicitly save content)
• User Activity: Button clicks and context menu selections used to trigger captures

How We Use Your Data

Captured data is sent to your configured vault server:

Cloud Service (vaultbubbles.com):
- Data is stored on our secure cloud servers
- Used to organize content into topics and enable search functionality
- Used to generate visualizations of your knowledge base
- Accessible from any device where you're logged in

Local Server (localhost):
- Data is stored entirely on your computer
- Never sent to external servers
- Full privacy—your data never leaves your device

Data Storage

• Cloud Storage: When using vaultbubble.com, data is stored on secure servers with encryption at rest and in transit
• Local Storage: When using a local server, all data remains on your computer
• Your Control: You can delete captured content at any time through your vault interface

Data Sharing

VaultBubble does not:
- Sell or share your data with third parties
- Use your data for advertising or marketing
- Access your data for purposes other than providing the service

Security

Cloud Service:
- Data encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest
- Secure authentication required
- Regular security updates

Local Server:
- Data stays on your device
- Security depends on your local configuration

Your Rights

You have full control over your data:
- Capture only the content you choose
- Delete captured content at any time
- Export your data from the vault interface
- Switch between cloud and local storage
- Disable the extension at any time
