Protect your inbox from known email tracking without turning off ordinary images.

Mailshade uses Firefox Manifest V3 declarative network rules to block browser requests that match its reviewed catalog of known tracking-pixel endpoints. It works only on the webmail sites you explicitly enable.

Enable only the inboxes you use. Gmail, Outlook, Microsoft 365, Superhuman Mail, Yahoo Mail, and Proton Mail are each enabled separately. Mailshade does not request access to every website, and it does not inspect a supported inbox until you grant access to that exact webmail site.

Detection history stays in local IndexedDB in your Firefox profile and is not sent to Mailshade. Message bodies are not stored. To detect and attribute known trackers, the extension processes sender metadata, opaque message or thread identifiers supplied by the webmail service, and relevant image or link addresses.

Preferences are stored locally in the Firefox profile. They are not described as Firefox Sync data. Paid activation, customer-portal access, checkout, and optional crash reporting are separate user-initiated features described in the Privacy Policy.
