Site Notes by Gripas Tech is a lightweight productivity add-on that allows users to save a separate private note for each website they visit.

Instead of keeping website-related reminders in separate documents or applications, users can open Site Notes directly from the Firefox toolbar and save a note associated with the current website domain.

How Site Notes Works

1. Open a standard website in Firefox.
2. Select the Site Notes icon from the browser toolbar.
3. Enter a reminder, task, idea or research note.
4. Select the “Save note” button.
5. Reopen the add-on on the same website to retrieve the saved note.

Each website domain is assigned a separate note. A note saved for one website will not replace a note saved for another website.

Privacy-Focused Functionality

Site Notes stores note content locally in the user’s Firefox browser using the browser storage API. Note content is not sent to Gripas Tech, gripastech.com or any third-party server.

The add-on accesses the active website hostname only when the user opens the add-on. The hostname is used to identify which locally stored note should be displayed or saved.

Site Notes does not read webpage content, modify websites, continuously monitor browsing activity, use analytics, display advertisements or execute remotely hosted code.

Important Information

Removing the add-on, clearing Firefox browser storage or resetting the browser profile may permanently delete locally stored notes. Users should not store passwords, payment information, authentication credentials or other highly sensitive information in Site Notes.
