BLOCKIX blocks distracting websites by covering them with a full-screen, blurred overlay that can't be closed or dismissed — the page underneath still loads, but you can't see or interact with it. Add any site to your block list from the toolbar popup, toggle it on or off anytime, and BLOCKIX catches it and every subdomain (blocking youtube.com also covers m.youtube.com).

Any video or audio playing on a blocked page is paused automatically, so a blocked site can't keep making noise in the background.

Pick your look from 188 built-in themes (inspired by Monkeytype's palette collection) plus an optional retro CRT scanline effect, applied consistently across the overlay, the popup, and the on-page theme picker.

BLOCKIX runs entirely on your device: your block list and theme choice are stored locally via the browser's storage API and are never transmitted anywhere. There's no background service worker and no page-redirect permissions — just a lightweight content script.
