troch Wireball, 6 moannen lynI have to turn off the extension occasionally because it makes search results disappear in Amazon (observed on Amazon business).
I like the "This seller is approved" for third-party sellers on Amazon that have a high percentage of positive reviews.
I also like the, "Seller location does not match item location" warning, as well as the warning when there's a recent spike in negative reviews.
I'm skeptical of the Fakespot letter grade for reviews, however, when fly-by-night companies with names that look like they were made by mashing randomly on the keyboard are marked as A or B grade, while name-brand products that I've used for years and know are good are marked D or F with "there is high deception involved".

I had no idea that an add-on with such unacceptable practices belongs to Mozilla! - Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch Tanmay Rai, 2 dagen lyn
- Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch mustaqim, 3 dagen lynDoesn't work on Amazon.co.za which makes it currently useless. Also needs to support local, major South African eCommerce websites.

- Wurdearring: 2 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 6107880, 3 dagen lynOpens new tabs asking for data collection, even when updating in the background. Super annoying and quiestionable from a privacy perspective. Otherwise not a bad idea.

- Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch Slight, 3 dagen lynThis was proving pretty useful but the recent requirement to opt in to their privacy policy which is totally unnecessary to provide the service means an uninstall from me.
- Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch UnderscoreOfficial, 4 dagen lynWow yes I sure do love a opt in to for us to collect your data or uninstall our extension prompt. Such a choice we have either opt in to our privacy invading policy or don't use our extension what a choice.
- Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch tutmeister, 5 dagen lynMozilla acquired Fakespot in 2023. In January 2024 they updated the privacy policy to include "All personal information processed by us may be transferred, processed, and stored anywhere in the world, including, but not limited to, the United States or other countries, which may have data protection laws that are different from the laws where you live."
This is a kick in the teeth to GDPR, which is intended to safeguard EU citizens from countries such as the United States, with little-to-no privacy safeguards from vulture-like marketing. They're using the wording to state that as long as you use this service, they can and will use your data to profile you, transmit it anywhere in the world, share it with third parties, and likely sell it to third parties too. So great, you get to see if a review is fake, but at the same time, you're now a bigger target for spammers, scammers, and other cybercriminal factions.
Give this a wide berth. There are no good alternatives at this time. Mozilla, for its mission of building a better internet, has once again been let down by the [lack of] leadership. Their new CEO has a purely commercial background, so this is not unsurprising. - Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch tackleberry, 5 dagen lynWas decent, now sells you private data. Do not use or install.
- Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch ROMAD, 5 dagen lynUninstalled today after getting the notice about collecting date. Too bad, was a decent extension until that.
- Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 13906799, 9 dagen lynIt's inconsistent. I've seen a seller I trust be having a different rating on each product page. This add-on is useless.
