Zoom for Firefox by Stefan vd

by molitar, 2 years agoWorks great if you make sure to only use two settings.
1. Use the built-in browser zoom
2. Zoom at web page level
Do not use the zoom at domain level because your other sites will not reset default zoom back to 100 on all other sites. Using these two options you can set Zoom level for specific sites and not affect others. The other Zoom option types mess up the X and Y coordinates so don't use the defaults.

You can choose the "domain" and "web page" level on the Zoom Options page.
See below the zoom table for that option.

In the Zoom Options page, you can change the browser zoom engine to "font-size", "CSS" and browser built-in.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Visual Notes, a year agoExtremely useful extension for large screens, for example, when web applications display text too small. The zoom level can be set individually for each domain, which works fine without any delay. Support is fast and helpful, I was pleased to find this out when I didn't know how to zoom pages that work with iframes. In my experience, of all the comparable zoom addons, this one is by far the best.
- Rated 2 out of 5by ConsciousClay, 2 years ago- it doesn't always work
- the context menu is sloppy; the setting labeled "zoom" only links to a YouTube page
- the "options" are not accessible from the context menu
- the "options" page is poorly formatted
- filing an issue is cumbersome; you can't even attach a screenshot easily
- everything is poorly translatedDeveloper response

Sorry you have had this bad experience.
Do not use the review section as a support forum. And do you still have this issue in the latest Zoom Firefox extension version?

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15573474, 2 years agoThank you for this, but I just found out that I no longer need it.
In Firefox's preferences, I can set the minimum zoom level (for ex.: 150%) for all sites, and if in about:config "browser.zoom.siteSpecific" is set to "true", Firefox remembers the zoom level for each site. - Rated 5 out of 5by Bill Mayhew, 2 years ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by Crumb, 2 years agoThis addon is very good. But there's one little issue. When the font zoom is set, then if you increase font size in a website which contains hidden / collapsed text, it does not affect the font size of this text after unfolding it. Like in live-journal posts and comments.
UPD: I disabled all extension esxcept your ZOOM. The effect is the same: the unfolded text in lj has a smaller size than the text before the unfold button. I have to manually trigger Zoom button (plus then minus) to bring font size to norm.Developer response
posted 2 years agoHi there,
Do you use any other Firefox extensions in the background? Try to disable that one by one except Zoom.
