- Rated 2 out of 5by XaviM, 3 months agoI don't know why IDM extension seems to work great in Edge Chromium, but fails to do so in Firefox. For example some sites just don't work when in Firefox, but they are fine in Edge. It says something about "encrypting" in Firefox... Encrypted sites showing in Firefox but not in Edge?? No way! What the heck is this? Please don't get me wrong. I love Firefox much more than I do both Edge and Chrome, That's why I am somewaht dissapointed about IDM malfunctioning in Firefox..

- Rated 2 out of 5by Armyth, 9 months agoIDM is really worth it but with the latest update, it just sucks all the cpu usage and freezes the browser. Makes it just impossible to work without disabling it

posted 9 months agoWe have fixed this problem with high CPU usage, and we have submitted a new version of add-on to Mozilla on Feb/28/2023 for approval. Once AMO team approves it, you will be able to update to it. We have disabled 6.41.7 version in addons.mozilla.org. Please delete 6.41.7 version in your Firefox browser and install 6.41.1 that is listed as current in addons.mozilla.org. - Rated 2 out of 5by Jamie, 9 months agoVer 6.41.7 Feb-2023 update is bad, sucks all CPU utilization with Explorer process as well.
Resolved by downgrade to Version 6.41.1 (from May 26, 2022).
Will Tonec please explain what has changed in this faulty 6.41.7 update? I never expect a extension to cause a system-wide problem, hogging CPU when it should be idle, is it doing anything behind our backs? Please explain.
Why update when the previous 6.41.1 is working perfectly.Developer response

- Rated 2 out of 5by Alexander Reyes, 2 years agoFor some reason the option of "hold this key and the file will not be downloaded with IDM" does not work, all the files are downloaded with the program and not the browser.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 13492180, 2 years agoI have used IDM for many years and version 6.40.3 doesn't work correctly. IDM does NOT open when a link is clicked and it doesn't even show up on the right click menu for any links. The only way I can use IDM is to copy a link. After I do that, IDM wakes up and asks if I want to download. If I need to copy each link individually, IDM serves no purpose.
I have tried removing and reinstalling but that doesn't seem to change anything. Sometimes, if I close Firefox and restart the browser, IDM will start out working again, but after a few minutes it fails.
Also, on pages with lots of video links like Twitter, IDM only seems to recognize the first video on the page.
You've taken what was a great addon and completely ruined the experience! - Rated 2 out of 5by Hafiz, 2 years agoSuddenly asking a lot privacy. 'Download with IDM' did not appear on context menu did not appear. Please fix this bug.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Sam, 2 years ago1. Anybody has the same problem where it can download audio only from YT?
2. Please have the option to set file size limit to initiate IDM. I don't need IDM to download small files. Thanks. - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 16697210, 2 years ago
