- Rated 5 out of 5by vignesh, 4 days agoFor the people leaving a bad rating or review: the extension DOES still work. You need to click on the toggle button at the top right of the comment section (below the video) to make the comments move to the sidebar. This is pointed out in the third screenshot on the Firefox extension page and an earlier review.
To the developer: Consider making the toggle "on" by default when the extension is installed, as users clearly expect the sidebar to be on the right when they installed and enabled the extension. Adding instructions of use to the Firefox extension page and extension "manage" section in the settings page would also be helpful. Other than that, the extension is working good so far. - Rated 5 out of 5by joji, 5 days agoTried it today 16/08/2025 and works fine!
*edit: actually some times it needs a refresh of the page to work. - Rated 5 out of 5by zs, 14 days agoDoes exactly what it says. No more annoying scrolling back and forth between the video and the comment section.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Hannes, a month agoIt works. And for anybody, who says it doenst work: Scrol down to the comments, and in this section you will find a arrow button in the top right corner (rigt over the bar, where you could write a comment)
- Rated 5 out of 5by 1234567, 4 months agoLoving it, not sure why it's not working for other people, I have like 10 other YT extensions and its working flawlessly. The only time it doesn't (which is my one and only complaint with it) is when I open a YouTube link to load in the background which makes it just not appear for some reason, but I'm not sure if that's on the extension or on the way firefox works.
5 stars regardless tho, exactly what I was looking for! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13613097, 10 months agoJust click a button. No configuration required. It's as simple as that.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Blibby, 2 years agoSidesy emerges as a savior from YouTube's layout blunder, adeptly relocating comments to the side of the video. This intuitive Firefox extension tackles the frustration of missing video content when scrolling down to engage with comments, a glaring oversight in YouTube's design. In the rare instance Sidesy requires a reset, a simple off-and-on toggle followed by a page refresh effortlessly does the trick. This minor troubleshooting step is a small price to pay for the seamless engagement Sidesy reinstates. Earning a stellar 5/5 rating, Sidesy is a must-have for those seeking a rich, uninterrupted YouTube viewing and engagement experience.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Ben Dover, 2 years agoSeriously amazing extension that completely elevates the youtube experience to another level. I don't think i would be able to go back to the old comments layout since i feel as if I miss too much of the video that is playing in the background while I'm scrolling down looking at the comments. The only thing i would like to be able to change is the width of the comments window (even though I'm not sure if its even possible), but with that being said its not such a big deal and i still love the extension. 100% would recommend to my grandma.

Would love to learn more about the issue you're facing. - Rated 5 out of 5by compass, 2 years agoJust works, looks great. I'd like an option for it to just automatically be like this.
