On another note, some websites block known VPN IP addresses. Let us know which websites you're having trouble accessing, as well as the servers you're connected to in the process so we can help. Meanwhile, you can try switching between multiple different servers to see whether the behavior improves with some of them.
Lastly, we've documented your request regarding automatic reconnection to a faster server for future consideration.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Carson, 4 days agoWorks like a charm. It sometimes makes websites run a little weird but I think that's just a function of the VPN being more private than the website would like. Ex: Microsoft Copilot

posted 5 days agoSorry to hear that. Could you share more details about the issue? Are you receiving any error messages? Do you have the auto-connect feature enabled? Do you have any other extensions installed for privacy/security purposes? You can only fix this by disabling the extension. But when you enable it again, this happens again. And the only way to restore it is to completely reinstall it, only for this to happen again a few minutes later.

This wouldn't be a problem if not for the fact that you can't invert split-tunnelling — I literally only want to use the VPN for one or two sites that I have data on that are blocked in the UK but I can't without it causing problems everywhere else — so I have to continuously Connect/Disconnect via the long-winded means I mentioned above every time I want to use those sites.
Other than that, no issues, but I won't be resubscribing as it's really too much faffing about for something that you should be able to set up as a one-click connect.Developer response

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18835325, 9 days agoProton's full suite of services has been great for me and I have had no issues whatsoever with Proton VPN. Sure the paid version is way better (that's what I use) but I used the free version for a while first. I can't think of many other free offerings that have a proven track record of caring about your data. If all you care about is getting around certain online Acts - proton free is perfect. For me - the paid version is exceptional.
