ロケーションバーから新しいタブを開きたいが、ブックマークは現在のタブに開きたい。
なので、
　about:config browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInTabs=false
の設定にした上で、このアドオンを導入してみた。

しかし、デフォルト設定では、ブックマークから開くタブも強制的に新しいタブで開いてしまう。

ブロック方法をWebNavigationに変更すれば、ブックマークから開くタブは現在のタブに開くことが出来るが、
今度は、ロケーションバーから開くときに現在のタブがリロードされたようなアニメーションをするので、
あまり気分が良くない。（設定の説明を見るとタブのスクロール位置などがリセットされる？）

loadBookmarksInTabs の設定を無視するこの動作は修正してほしいものだ。

Life saver (at least for early Quantum users)... but one thing is missing, though... the ability to use ALT-ENTER to open the search result in the current TAB just in case necessary... ;)

I've been waiting for an updated version of Tab Mix Plus, to work with FireFox v57. However, this provides the most important feature I need - to open websites and search items entered into the address bar in a new tab.

It looks like I may be able to replace the Chrome based was using with FireFox now.

Finally FF 57 opens a new tab from the address bar... THX

Works well except for one fixable glitch: When clicking on links from GMail-Emails, a temporary tab remains open. This can be fixed by changing the line "Recycle more tabs..." in the extension settings to the following value:
^about:(newtab|home|privatebrowsing)|.*mail-static.*$

Not perfect, but a huge step forward. There are still a couple of glitches. For example, navigating to about:config does not open a new tab.

webRequestに対応し、表示しているアクティブタブの内容が書き換えられないようになった。ほぼ以前通りの動作。
なお、Firefox60でbrowser.urlbar.openintabをtrueにしても同じ結果は全く得られません(履歴等を開いた際にカレントタブに開かれます)ので不要ではありません。

suffered a lot without it after TabMixPlus died

Bisher verwendete ich TabMixPlus, das für den neuen FF leider nicht mehr funktioniert, um beim Wechsel zu einer neuen Site immer ein neues Tab zu bekommen. Direkt im FF kann ich mit about:config zwar einstellen, dass URL-Aufrufe aus den Bookmarks in neuen Tabs geöffnet werden sollen, aber bei Eingabe einer neuen URL in der LocationBar öffnet sich die Seite leider immer im aktuellen Tab statt in einem neuen.

Genau das löst dieses Add-on nun für mich.

Ok, die Realisierung des Features ist nicht problemlos oder perfekt. Aber besser als keine Lösung auf jeden Fall.

同等の機能は以前はTabMix Plusを使って実現していましたが、同アドオンはFirefox 57以降は使えなくなり、about:configには該当する設定項目はなく、ほとほと困っていました。代替措置を探して真っ先にこのアドオンが見つかったものの、その時点では未対応でした。最近になって対応して下さりとても感謝しています。自分にとってこの動作があるのとないのとでは使い勝手が大きく違いますので。

It does the job. But the current tab is refreshed, which is quite annoying if you ha video running on it.

...except if focus is on a pinned tab.
