- Rated 1 out of 5by Vague, 5 months agoAs written before this add-on has very shady practices and is almost impossible to uninstall. It also installs an enterprise policy that can monitor your activity on all main browsers of your computer.
Furthermore the last update is from 2021, which is really not safe for such a critical app.
Even doing as recommended by firefox in the following link doesn't work. The add on will be reinstalled as soon as you restart your browser : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cannot-remove-add-on-extension-or-theme?as=u&utm_source=inproduct
The steps I had to do to successfully uninstall eparaksts on MacOs were the following :
- log as root and research in command line the word eparakst from the root folder `grep -r 'eparakst' /`
- run the uninstallation script `sh `
- remove all files related to eparaksts, idemia, latvian-eid, latvian pin (not sure of the name of this last one)
and to stop the policy I wrote the following command (it will deactivate all the enterprise policies, so check that you don't need any) :
`sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/org.mozilla.firefox EnterprisePoliciesEnabled -bool FALSE` - Rated 5 out of 5by Andris, 8 months ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17023721, 9 months agoIt locks updates and sets FF as managed by your administrator.
This creates breach and threat, to work on unupdated browser.
Even when add-on deleted, FF still remains in locked state for updates, path of add-on removed, but identificator remains and lock settings as well. - Rated 1 out of 5by User83475623, 10 months agoNot only it marks browser as "managed by organization", but it's practically impossible to uninstall. I've removed eParaksts and all its components from my Mac, deleted any files related to it and this thing is STILL here. I CAN'T uninstall it, only disable.
