I’m working to look for a solution and make the permissions “optional” but unluckily it’s not possible now (with my knowledge).

Please, consider to accept (temporarily at least) this new permission, I promise I’ll try to fix in the future.
Otherwise, please use the previous release, because in the new one I have only added this feature

- Rated 4 out of 5by Derpy, 3 days agoNice, but the option to 'also insert directly" won't enable. Could use an explanation on this one. Guess I'll have to use the "I need help" option.

If you cannot enable "Also insert directly", maybe it's because you deny the permission? In that case, go to Addons (about:addons), select "Emoji" and in the "Permissions" tab be sure you enabled the permission "Access your data for all websites" (which permits to insert directly in the websites).
