- Rated 4 out of 5by mrbruno, a year agoI'd like the link to open in the same tab or at least be able to choose in the options.
Can you put the link in the images tab, too? - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15191636, 2 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by kmacdough, 3 years agoSimple & just works 99.9% of the time. As others mentioned, "+" doesn't work as Google treats it like a space. A keyboard shortcut would also be nice.
That said, not seeing a Github or similar leaves me with some discomfort for security reasons (hence 4 stars). I also imagine I could throw together some PRs for my above complaints. - Rated 4 out of 5by Simeon, 3 years agoVery useful, thank you. However, I've noticed that it seems to remove some special characters from the query. "C++ docs" turns into "C docs".

I will take a look into this somewhere in the near future, thanks for bringing this to my attention :] - Rated 4 out of 5by realwaifu, 4 years agoif you type something like "bla bla c# bla bla" in duckduckgo and then use the addon it cuts everything behind the "#" so it becomes "bla bla c"

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, as I stated in the other comment, I will put this on my todo-list. - Rated 4 out of 5by xerus, 4 years agoSimple & useful, responsive author :)
An option to have a shortcut could be handy, and I'd also like the code to be properly open source.Developer response

I've just released a new version (1.3) which adds support safe.duckduckgo.com - Rated 4 out of 5by bsdaddict, 4 years agoDoes almost the same thing as DDG's !g bang. (see https://duckduckgo.com/bang) The bang doesn't open a new tab, otherwise it's the same thing. I guess saving a couple key presses is nice.

posted 4 years agoHi!
It indeed uses the HTTPS version.
If you refer to "encrypted.google.com", the answer is also yes (since this has been moved permanently to https://google.com on the 30th of April 2018).- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15360007, 5 years agoVeru useful. However it would be great to have the option to open the Google webpage in the same tab, instead of in a new tab.
