- Rated 4 out of 5by Bogdan, a year agoThis is really good. However, with the recent change in YouTube where they recommend Shorts directly in your Feed, I would love to see a feature where you can disable Shorts recommendations (both in the feed and recommendation bar to the right of videos) while keeping the normal ones.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 6200873, 2 years agoGreat add-on. Would give 5 stars if there was a way to lock out deactivation of DF YouTube, or at least add more friction. I find some days I will automatically disable DF and if there was more friction to that process I might snap out of my daze and get off YouTube.
- Rated 4 out of 5by sefsgfr3, 2 years agoI use it to hide all Youtube recommendations.
this add-on probably saved me from 100s of hours of useless content I will forget the next 20 minutes anyways.
However as other reviewers are saying, its missing the removal of the "For you" when you search stuff on youtube :(
Its very annoying. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 11807850, 2 years agoThis add on is great, but one thing that I'm missing is the ability to toggle the "For You", "Other viewers have also watched these videos" and "Already seen" tabs that hide within the list of search results. Lately, Youtube is showing a load of random recommendations that have nothing to do with the actual search and it's pretty stupid because I still get spammed with clickbaity thumbnails even on my work account. No idea if that's a possible feature, I'm not a developper. But maybe you could look into it!
- Rated 4 out of 5by Andrei, 2 years agoPlease add a feature to blur or remove video previews, at least in recommendations. Thanks!

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 16490674, 3 years agoHey, love your extension man. Seriously, its really insane, is essential and should be one of the top. I didnt know if u still updates but i have a bug that i cant hide the notification bell and the subscription bar. Dont know if is just with me.
(Sorry for bad english, i hope u could understand) - Rated 4 out of 5by BlueSkyGamin, 3 years agoI love this extension! I have a bad habit of just letting the algorithm take me to the next video rather than getting off when I need to. I HIGHLY recommend this for TEACHERS because this will help keep students focused on the video.
My only gripe with this extension is that one time I removed it from my extension bar and was never able to get it back so I had to turn it off and on by turning off and on the whole extension in the add-ons menu. - Rated 4 out of 5by Vijay V, 3 years ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13972940, 4 years agoI actually love the extension, but my avast just checked it as virus (it seems to have disabled my firewall). Hope its a false positive, but ive warned mozilla anyway. I'll change the bad review if they warn me its fixed *edit: ive warned avast as well, raised the stars here because i have reasons to probably dont be affected

posted 4 years agoSorry you had that experience. I have no idea what the explanation is but this extension certainly is not able to disable firewalls, nor does it have any malicious intent. - Rated 4 out of 5by alan edmonds, 5 years agoReally nice add-on, but the firefox version doesn't work correctly on my work computer anymore. The youtube homepage shows all the thumbnails.

- Rated 4 out of 5by PLAYLUXE, 5 years agoAddon works fine and does a great job at what it's supposed to do: disabling the videos on the news feed.
What I'd like so suggest is that you should be able to customize the news feed instead of just showing a blank page. This way you won't get confused why your videos are not shown anymore in case you forgot that you've installed the plugin.
Similar to the "Facebook News Feed Eradicator" plugin I'd recommend to insert some inspiring quotes as a placeholder. - Rated 4 out of 5by Andrew Eisenberg, 6 years agoThis is a great add-on and makes things safer for using youtube with kids. I've only been using it for a short time, but it seems to work great and I've been looking for something like this for a while.
Only question I have is that this add on requires "Access your data for www.nosarembo.com". That site doesn't seem to exist. What is it doing in the permissions list?
Oh...and the contact option in the settings pane is broken, so I can't send feedback.
Giving this add-on 4 stars only because of the broken contact button and the nosarembo issue. - Rated 4 out of 5by itismartin, 6 years agoAbsolutely love it! But you know what else would make it better? The ability to see ratings or like/dislike a video. Also the watch later tab etc. Oh and all-caps titles hidden should be a thing too!
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14219795, 6 years agoThis add-on is fantastic with the exception of one important bug. On Firefox version 61.0.2 hiding the side bar also removes the skip add button so you have to either disable the DF add-on or watch the entire add.

posted 6 years agoThanks for pointing this out! I have fixed this issue in the latest version. I also highly recommend the uBlock Origin add-on, which blocks ads across the web and makes YouTube video ads a thing of the past!
