Developer response
posted 5 years agoIt's surprisingly difficult to do *well*. The problem is that it is very easy to identify the name Trump, but much more difficult to reliably identify a sentence. People don't always punctuate properly, and there may be no sentence-ending punctuation in a headline or caption. Other difficult cases are separating other uses of periods from those that end sentences. You basically need to parse the sentence and understand it.
It's theoretically possible, but would be part of a much more sophisticated piece of software.

Dave from Tools of Our Tools - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14337273, 5 years agoThank you for this add-on! It doesn't do the complete job, but it certainly helps me cope with the lies and shameful, hateful behavior of this horrible man--shameful,hateful behavior that too many in this country inexplicably seem to think befits the leader of the free world. I just want him gone, but since I can't have him gone until he's out of office, I'll have to settle for this.

Fixed as of June 2017 version. Choose options then enable "scan on change." It will no longer just run at page load and will instead re-scan whenever the page changes.

Let's keep laughing!
The plugin does not stop down the page, but it stops after a time period. Many pages do not render further down until you scroll down and so there are times that the plugin will not convert some new content. Facebook is the most common example.
I can extend this time period, but am a little shy of doing so because I want the plugin to do it's thing and stop, so that it is light on CPU.
There are some configuration changes you can make to change this behavior. They are not in the config GUI, but I can show you how to do them. Contact me if interested.
Best,
Dave J
