Take your time. Keyloom gives you a quiet place to practice one short line, directly in a toolbar popup. Choose Home row, Gentle reaches or Sentence flow, then type the authored English passage. A small US QWERTY diagram highlights the next key, and the passage distinguishes matching and mistyped characters while you work.

The timer starts on your first inserted character and includes pauses. A practice completes when your input reaches the passage's full length. Backspace and corrections are welcome: each insertion is an attempt, and a correction does not erase the original mistake from your accuracy. Pasted, dropped, composed and replacement text are excluded from practice. Accuracy is correct insertion attempts divided by total insertion attempts; speed is correct characters in your final line divided by five and elapsed minutes. Displayed results are rounded. They describe this short exercise, not a certified typing assessment.

Your practice shows the last 60 completed results and the best speed per lesson from runs with an actual correct-attempt ratio of at least 95%. Completed results include the lesson, date, speed, accuracy, duration and insertion counts. They do not store your input text. The misspelled-input summary is temporary and only describes the current practice. Your selected lesson is also kept locally. Closing the popup ends an unfinished run without recording it.

Start fresh resets the current line after confirmation when it is unfinished. Clear results removes completed practices after confirmation while preserving your selected lesson. Copy a local JSON backup if you want to retain your results. Restore validates the format and asks before replacing saved data. Invalid or cross-product backups are refused. Damaged saved text is preserved for recovery; storage failures are reported so you can keep a backup before closing.

Keyloom handles input only in its own practice field. It does not monitor typing on websites, detect or change your hardware keyboard layout, or install global hotkeys. The next-key diagram is a US QWERTY reference. Everything runs from bundled files with no remote code, network requests, analytics, advertising, cloud sync or account connection. Saved data uses the extension's own localStorage in this browser profile. Clearing extension data or uninstalling may remove it; keep a backup you control.
