Firefox no longer allows extensions to create toolbars and removed the APIs that the extension was using for features like 'Disable Cache' and 'Disable JavaScript' so these features had to be removed from the extension. None of the changes made to the extension were by choice, but were enforced by Firefox changing their extension support.
