I was suspicious of the recent permission update that adds “input data to the clipboard”. I looked it up on GitHub and that is used to show a “copy to clipboard” button in the extension.
Note that this gives permission to write to the clipboard, and not to read the clipboard.

Why this extension in taking clipboard access. I think its a security issue. I have removed this extension
