Vellum Pro Dark od Florian Monnier

A dark interface in warm greys — brown-black rather than the blue-black most dark themes use. Tab strip #221C14, toolbar #4B3F2C, address bar #5E5037, sand accent #E5C89C.

The darkest surface is not black, and that is deliberate: a dim room reads better over long sessions than pure black behind bright text. On an OLED screen it will draw marginally more power than a true black theme.

No background images. Nothing to download, nothing competing with your wallpaper.

Hover, focus and selection are shown by fill rather than by an outline. The active tab carries no underline: it reads as a shape lifted off the tab strip, and the address bar lightens on focus instead of growing a border.

That puts the weight on the value steps between neighbouring surfaces, which were set by measurement rather than by eye — wide enough to stay legible on a dim screen, narrow enough that the chrome does not read as stacked stripes.

Every text and icon colour meets WCAG AA against every surface it sits on. Body text meets AAA everywhere except the focused address bar, at 6.25:1.

This is the static build: one fixed palette, nothing to configure. If you would rather it followed your system appearance, offered three depth levels and marked private windows, Vellum Pro does the same thing from an extension.
