Tenoa Capture od Kofi Signelo

Tenoa Capture is the browser side of Tenoa, a local-first visual library. You find something worth keeping; one click saves it into your library. The library is plain files on your own computer, organized by the Tenoa desktop app.

What you can save:

-- The current page, as a snapshot
-- Selected text, via the right-click menu
-- Any image, via the right-click menu or the hover-save button that appears over images
-- Videos, including YouTube videos with their captions
-- Quick notes, typed straight into the popup

Requirements:

This extension needs the Tenoa desktop app. Without it, there is nowhere to save to. The extension itself is free.

Where it goes:

To the Tenoa app running on your computer, at a local address (127.0.0.1). That is the extension’s only destination. Your captures do not pass through our servers. No Tenoa account, no hosted library, no tracking. (In the desktop app you can optionally connect your own AI provider account for summaries; that is a separate, off-by-default choice made there, under your own key.)

Optional Instagram completion (off by default):

If you also use Tenoa on iPhone or iPad, some Instagram posts can only be saved there as a low-resolution preview. You can optionally allow this extension to finish those saves on your computer: it fetches the full images from Instagram using your own browser session and hands them to your local Tenoa app. This is off until you turn it on, asks for Instagram access as a separate permission prompt at that moment, and never reads your Instagram login, cookies, or messages.
